Carole Williams, originally from Oak Park, Illinois is now a resident of Madison, Indiana. She is a retired art educator with degrees from the University of Evansville and Indiana University. She loves to travel and has been to China 15 times, both as a teacher and to do research. Carole’s husband passed away in 2018, but she enjoys spending time with her three daughters and nine grandchildren. Carole’s art is creating miniature shadow boxes. The delightful scenes depict every subject imaginable: tiny shops like a candy store or bakery, rooms in vintage homes, holiday scenes, and children enjoying being kids, among many other subjects. She employs a 1/12 scale ratio. Her tiny diaramas are often humorous, meticulously crafted and always adorable.
