Richard Drake uses oils, inks, acrylics, wood, wire, and metals, along with a myriad of natural materials in his artwork. He paints, carves, and shapes sculptures along with many other creative disciplines. It truly seems that if his mind can dream it up, his hands can manifest it. You never know what you will see. Richard gets his inspiration from his many varied interests. He loves hot rod and custom cars, fishing, hunting, and being an invaluable handyman both around his home and at the Community Art Center where he generously donates his time. He says he is privileged to know God and prays that someday he will do art for him. In truth, the way his art celebrates nature, he is already doing so.
