Bobbie Von Bargen was born in Covington, KY and lived in Reading, Ohio for many years. 26 years ago, she built her dream home in Switzerland County, a log cabin situated on 71 acres and overlooking a three-acre pond. She is widowed and is the mother of 5 sons and one daughter. She is a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and even has a great, great grandchild. And we can’t forget her Maltese poodle mix, Charlie. Bobbie Von Bargen’s love of cross stitch and beading began when she was 14 and made a dresser scarf. She employs beads, cloth, perforated paper and plastic canvas in her work. When she takes a break from her lovely handwork, she enjoys jigsaw puzzles and reading. She enjoys attending craft shows and subscribes to cross stitch magazines. She tells us that she has enough ideas and projects to keep her busy until she is 100. We sure hope so!
