Sherrie Howard is a glass fuser. Her unique works are done by fusing glass pieces together in a kiln to express an idea, emotion, or story. Her creations capture light in an intricate way that pleases the eye and stimulates the imagination. Sherrie is a retired elementary teacher who taught for 37 years in Switzerland County Schools. She lives in Rising Sun and loves to collect driftwood along the banks of the Ohio River to be incorporated into her art. She is also an avid boater and loves spending time on her boat on Lake Erie. Howard’s home studio is named Red Hot Glass Fusing and you can find her page on Facebook. She teaches classes and is always happy to talk about commissioning a piece. She is at the Community Art Center often and has a wide variety of work for sale there.
